Atmosphere Foundation was established to contribute to the social and environmental well-being of the Maldives through practical, community-centred initiatives.
The foundation emerged from a simple idea: that development should be inclusive, locally anchored, and sustainable. Island communities across the Maldives face unique challenges — from limited land and resources to climate vulnerability and changing economic realities. At the same time, they are rich in knowledge, resilience, and community spirit.
By listening carefully to communities, building on existing strengths, and aligning with national development priorities, Atmosphere Foundation aims to support initiatives that are both impactful and realistic to implement. Our work focuses on creating enabling conditions for people to thrive: quality education, opportunities for young people, protected environments, and stronger local institutions.
We are committed to transparent, accountable, and data-informed operations. Every project is monitored for outcomes, learning, and long-term potential, so that future investments are guided by what works in practice.
Our Vision
A Maldives where every community has the opportunity, capacity, and resources to build a sustainable and inclusive future.
